The US Cyber Challenge is looking for Americans with the skills to fill the ranks of cybersecurity practitioners, researchers, and warriors. The program develops their technological skills, gives them access to advanced education and provides real-life exercises. Colleges and employers can see where participants skills can be of the greatest value to the nation.
There are several competitions open to high school and college students, as well as the general public. Some are team-based while others are strictly individual. There are also camps that people can attend to help develop their cyber skills. Participating in these various activities may be useful for resume purposes, receiving job offers and also developing computer skills needed/wanted by the United States military and government.
The U.S. Cyber Challenge is in the Get Involved Collection and Education Directory and and is a great activity for computer experts of any age to participate.
