Cyber Security and American Cyber Competitiveness Act of 2011
Dublin Core
Title
Cyber Security and American Cyber Competitiveness Act of 2011
Description
This is one of the most recent bills (up to 2011) waiting to be voted on. It aims to secure the United States against cyber attack, to enhance American competitiveness and create jobs in the information technology industry, and to protect the identities and sensitive information of American citizens and businesses.
While its status as new law is not available yet, it will be interesting to see if the law gets passed. A similar law (as noted in the collections description) was not passed because it gave the government too much power over businesses. However, this law may be passed because of its goal of protecting identities and information of citizens and businesses.
